Pre-Employment Process

 

The following steps outline our pre-employment process for all new hires at A+ Charter Schools, Inc.:

  • Receive recommendation from hiring manager
  • Obtain approval from HR Director to hire for position
  • Obtain Superintendent approval
  • Contact the candidate to confirm interest in moving forward and discuss salary
  • Verify Social Security number for fingerprinting
  • Check Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) for candidate’s background (If no record appears, upload candidate information in TEAL portal to generate a FAST pass. Once generated, notify the candidate to schedule fingerprinting. TXDPS wll provide notification withing 24-28 hours once the background check is complete.Candidates who pass may proceed in the hiring process.)
  • Contact the candidate to schedule orientation
  • Complete onboarding paperwork and review policies

 

Accuaracy of Information 

A+ Charter Schools, Inc. relies upon the accuaracy of information contained in the employment application, as well as the accuaracy of other information presented throughout the hiring process and employment. Employees are expected to provide truthful and accuarate information in connection with their employment at A+ Charter Schools, Inc. Any falsification or misrepresentation in connection with application materials, or during the course of employment, is a serious offense and may lead to discharge from employment or non-selection of an applicant. 

 

Employment Application & Required Forms (Upon Hire)

New employees are required to review and/or complete the following forms:

  • Employment Application
  • W-4 Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate
  • I-9 Employment Eligibility Form
  • Salary Worksheet
  • Employee Election Form to Withhold Certain Infromation from Public Access
  • Acknowledgement of Receipt of A+ Charter Schools, Inc. Personnel Handbook
  • Direct Deposit Authorization Form
  • Applicable Healthcare/ Benefits Forms
