C&I- Instructional Materials & Curriculum Transparency

Instructional Materials & Curriculum Transparency

At A+ Charter Schools, we are committed to providing a transparent, collaborative, and family-centered learning environment where parents are informed partners in their child’s education. In keeping with state law and our shared commitment to trust and accountability, we make instructional and curriculum materials available for review and invite parents to partner with us in supporting every student’s learning experience.

Parent Access to Classroom Materials

We believe families are important partners in their child’s learning. Parents and guardians have the right to review the teaching materials, instructional resources, and classroom aids used with their child—including those used during virtual or remote learning. If you’d like to see or review any materials, please contact the school office, and we’ll be happy to help you access them in accordance with Texas Education Code §26.006.

Curriculum Transparency and Family Partnership

At A+ Charter Schools, we believe that a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment begins with strong partnerships between school and home. In keeping with our commitment to transparency and trust, and in accordance with state law, we make available all curriculum materials used in lessons related to human sexuality and the prevention of child abuse, family violence, dating violence, and sex trafficking.

Our district does not utilize resources of this nature without explicit parent approval. These materials, if used, are implemented on a campus-by-campus basis and only with prior notification and consent from families. Below, you’ll find any materials and resources that have been approved for use. We encourage families to review them and reach out to us with any questions or feedback as we work together to support the well-being and safety of every student.

Library Materials Report

Our schools do not maintain a traditional school library. In accordance with state law, we provide transparency regarding library materials rated as sexually relevant. While we do not have library collections, any such materials that may be used or reviewed are documented and available for public review at our central administrative office.

We update this information regularly and make it available to families upon request, ensuring parents have access to review and provide input on materials as required by law.
