February 23, 2017 : FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Inspired Vision Elementary School Selects New Principal:

Sherqueena Myles

Dallas, TX—A+ Charter Schools, Inc., home of premier transformational public

charter schools of Southeast Dallas, is excited to announce Sherqueena Myles will

assume the position of Principal at Inspired Vision Elementary School, effective

February 15, 2017.

Myles comes to Inspired Vision Elementary (IVE) from Cedar Hill ISD, with

over 10 years of experience in education. As Principal of IVE, Myles will assume

responsibility in serving the scholars, families, and community through her leadership

in ensuring every child enrolled at IVE is provided an innovative, individualized

education in a safe, family-like environment.

Myles commented, “My heart belongs with the elementary grades, so when I saw the position was available I was super excited about it. I love the philosophy and mission of the school, as well as the safe environment and family-like atmosphere—I’ve always treated my students like an extension of my own family, and so does this school. I look forward to continuing the school’s record of success, but also in finding ways to improve achievements from there.”

Myles holds a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Arlington, a Masters in Education Administration from Sam Houston State University, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism from Texas A&M in College Station, and completed her Superintendent Certification at UA in 2016. She has taught in elementary schools for DISD, and has served as Vice Principal in Life School Charters and Cedar Hill ISD.

A+ Charter Schools’ principals are selected by school staff to ensure each campus acquires the best leader suited to meet their needs, and the needs of their students. Inspired Vision Elementary Staff elected a team of their peers to serve as the hiring committee for Principal in early January. The committee selected Myles for the position from a pool of over 40 applicants and 6 finalists.

A+ Charter Schools, Inc., and Inspired Vision Elementary, welcome Sherqueena Myles to the family, and can’t wait to see her leadership in action.
